Dressing Makeup and Styling Tips for Auburn, Red and Strawberry
Blonde Hair and Fair skin
Hair
with red tones and pale skin calls
for more sheer makeup with subtle color. When you use color be sure
it is carefully placed to create allure. To create a glamorous look
that works, emphasize makeup with strong eyes OR a deeply colored
mouth. Do not emphasize both. This creates focus to your face.
Warm
browns, amaretto, terra cotta, copper and bronze eye shadow look
great with red hair. For lashes, with a tgCosmetics brown eye liner/smduger
pencil draw a line at the base of the lashes and at the outer
corners of the eyes and then, with the opposite end, smudge the
line evenly so that there is no hard definition where the line stops.
This creates a more natural defining look than liquid eyeliner.
For lower lashes, try placing subtle dots close to the lash along
the lower lashes. Brows should go golden brown or taupe.
Lips
should go with sheer or dark, brownish reds and russets to bring
out the warmth of a fair complexion. If you want to emphasize the
lips, raison colors and orange browns look stunning on redheads.
Lip
shades that look great with medium blond, strawberry blond, auburn
and red
hair: Raison,
Rustique, Rum Raison, Quartz, Silk, Dune Rose, Sheer Power, Cafe,
Desert Blossom, Poise, Attitude and Eruption.
Consider
not masking freckles if you have them. They are a beauty aspect
of this skin type. If you do use a heavy foundation,
be sure to match the shade of your skin type as closely as possible.
Blush on cheeks should go apricot
or tawny
peach tones. Don’t do pinks. They clash with red hair. If your
nose is wide, slim it by shading and contouring the sides with a
darker tone and the center with a thin line of light tone with our
concealer
corrector kit.

HINT:
Apply mascara before eye shadow so you can get a better sense of the
form of your eye.
Watch for stray mascara and wipe smudges away before they dry with
tgCosmetics dual pointed applicators. Comb
lashes with a tgCosmetics metal mascara comb before they dries to
lengthen and dramatize lashes. Put less mascara on lower lashes than
upper ones, then add a wash of eye shadow to the lids. Apply another
coat of mascara. Let dry for 1 minute and finish with a third coat.

Cross Dressing Style Tips
The
scent of a woman precedes her and lingers when she’s gone.
Don’t go too heavy with your favorite scent but make it last. Use
an unscented lotion as a base and spray your fragrance on top. The
lotion will absorb and prolong the life of the scent. Also if you
apply fragrance to your wrists, never rub them together. This "bruises"
the fragrance, preventing the top notes from blooming.
Use
color in clothing to flatter. Pale skin tones look washed out against
pale pink and are overpowered by red’s darkest, deepest shades.
But fair skin tones, particularly redheads, look fabulous in tints
and tones of warm, bright red. Dark colors and long V-neck lines
on jackets, sweaters, shirts and dresses are always sliming and
flattering. Monochromatic outfits create the illusion of height
and de-emphasize individual flaws or lack of proportion. Separates
in different colors break up the body and can highlight each area.
Light colors have more emphasis and dark colors de-emphasize.

Few General Tips for Cross dressing:
Applying makeup: Take your time with
makeup, dont rush it. Practice before you go out. Consider finding
a transgender makeover artist who can walk you through the application
steps and tips.
Beard: Shave closely with a cream
or gel. Follow our tgCosmetics tips for applying foundation. Be sure to
use a beard cover foundation if you have a visible beard.
Breasts: Invest in a quality breast
forms. Dont fake this shape with padding or stockings. Check out
our link partner, The Breast Forms Store on our links page for a friendly
resource.
Hair: Get rid of unfeminine hair.
Shave under arms. Use a depilatory cream on your arms (legs) if they are
hairy. It will last longer than shaving. You can find depilatory creams
in the drugstore. Trim nose and ear hair. Shave any stray hairs on neck.
Consider electrolysis or laser hair removal if you are concerned about
excessive hair or heavy beard areas.
Skin care: Take good care of your
skin to keep it soft. Makeup always looks better on softer, smoother skin,
Exfoliate skin with tgCosmetics AHA products or exfoliation cleansers.
Use a facial cleanser (not soap), toner and moisturizer daily, it does
make a difference in improving skin texture. Clay masques are great for
firming and plumping skin.
Hips: If you have a thick waist, invest
in padded panties to give yourself a more attractive, feminine shape.
Wear a girdle to slim the waistline.
Nails: Take time to manicure your
nails. If you dont know much about nail care, have a manicure done
from a professional and ask questions. Also check out our tgCosmetics
nail tips section.
Brows: Brows are very important to
your look. Keep them groomed by plucking stray hairs. If you cannot get
away with shaping them into an arch, try tgCosmetics brow cover and concealing
foundation to cover them and draw in your preferred brow with pencil and/or
pressed powder.
Moving and holding yourself in a
feminine way is important in passing. Observe how women move, gesture,
walk, and talk as a reference. Then practice with a mirror or friend.
Restrooms: When you are out and dressed,
if you have to go to the restroom, use the ladies room, not the men's.
Plan ahead, avoid drinking to much and seek un-crowded rest rooms.
